We are looking for a knowledgeable, self-motivated Startup/Commissioning Technician to join our team.

Primary Job Function: The candidate for this position will be responsible for initial startup, testing and documenting that all control points, hardware and software meet the engineered sequence of operations and that all controlled systems function properly.

Work Hours: 40 hours a week.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Distech, Siemens, Trend, Honeywell and Niagara N4 programming, commissioning and graphics
  • Perform all point to point checkout and calibration and document with company standard software tools
  • Perform functionally testing and verification all systems functions as specified in the sequence of operations
  • Generate, document and track all punch list items and deficiencies of engineered design, mechanical systems, electrical systems when applicable and building automation system.
  • Demonstrate operation of the system to the customer, design team, 3rd Party Cx, etc.
  • Perform quality control inspections of installations and programming
  • Provide training to the customer

Minimum requirements:

  • 5+ years of direct experience with DDC controls systems
  • Working knowledge of all mechanical equipment sequence of operations including but not limited to terminal boxes, fan coil units, VAV and constant volume RTU's and AHU's, and basic 4 pipe systems
  • Understanding of Control Devices (Inputs/Outputs) and their function
  • Understanding of how to calibrate Control Devices (Inputs/Outputs)
  • Understanding of low voltage wiring and electrical conduit installation practices
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Outlook, Word, Etc.)
  • Working and demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems components and design
  • Must be self-motivated with excellent people and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends as required
  • Valid NC driver license
  • Ability to pass a background check to allow access to various types of facilities
  • Ability to lift 70lbs in assistance of loading, unloading and storing materials and equipment
  • Bending, Climbing, Pulling, Pushing, Balancing, Kneeling, Twisting, Standing
  • Climbing stairs and ladders
